In the wake of Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) disappointing exit from the Champions League, there are strong indications that Kylian Mbappe is poised to depart from the club, with Real Madrid being the likely destination. This potential move follows Borussia Dortmund's impressive performance against PSG, which secured them a well-deserved spot in the final. Mbappe's departure from PSG does not come as a surprise, as he has been hinting at a move away from the club for some time. Despite his remarkable individual performances, PSG has been unable to clinch the coveted Champions League title during his tenure with the team.

Having joined PSG in 2017, the 24-year-old forward has made significant contributions, scoring over 150 goals and aiding the team in securing numerous domestic and international titles. However, the team's failure to capture the Champions League crown during Mbappe's tenure has drawn criticism from both the fans and the management.

Real Madrid appears to be the frontrunner in securing Mbappe, with reports indicating that a deal could be finalized in the coming weeks. Notably, the Spanish giants have a storied history of attracting and acquiring top talent.

Mbappe's departure from PSG marks a significant loss for the club. Nonetheless, PSG's inability to clinch the Champions League trophy, despite boasting top-caliber players like Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi, has necessitated a need for change. With Mbappe's impending departure, PSG will need to undertake a process of rebuilding and redirect their focus towards capturing the prestigious trophy that has eluded them.

The Champions League final promises to be an enthralling affair as Dortmund seeks redemption against Real Madrid at Wembley on June 1.
