The United Kingdom took the third position. It hosted the world’s first AI safety summit in 2023. 

India ranks fourth on the list. The country scores highly in AI research and development but lags behind in policy, governance, and infrastructure. 

The UAE holds the fifth position. It has publicly committed to becoming a global leader in AI and investing heavily in quality research institutes. 

France ranks sixth. The country is set to take a global leadership position on AI as it will host the AI safety summit this year. 

South Korea stands in the seventh place, actively advancing in AI. It is one of the countries that produce semiconductor devices needed for AI development. 

Germany ranks eighth on the list. It is considered a leader in European AI development.
